Montirex – Brand Refresh & Guidelines

Main Project Image

A brand growing this fast needed an identity system to match

Montirex had experienced huge growth in a short space of time, evolving from two founders selling sportswear from a bedroom into one of the UK’s fastest-growing performance brands, stocked in retailers including JD Sports. Despite that momentum, the brand had little visual structure beyond the logo itself. I helped create the foundations of the identity system, developing typography, colour frameworks, holding devices and a flexible visual language designed to scale across campaigns, retail and digital touchpoints. The core idea centred around simplicity and adaptability. Montirex became a primarily black and white brand, supported by a dynamic secondary colour system that could shift depending on the featured apparel colourway. The result was a brand identity that felt clean, confident and performance-led without losing flexibility or energy.

The final brand book gave Montirex a platform to scale consistently

The completed guidelines were produced as a premium printed brand book that remains part of the Montirex studio today. More than just a set of rules, the system provided a creative framework the brand could continue building on as it expanded into larger retail environments, campaigns and product launches. For me personally, this project felt especially rewarding because it sat naturally within a world I genuinely connect with. Fitness, training and sports culture have always been a huge part of my life, so helping shape the visual identity of a fast-growing performance brand felt both creatively exciting and personally authentic.
